Sundance Process

from plain to fancy

Fancy color diamonds are becoming increasingly popular as consumers become more aware of their existence. However, while natural fancy color diamonds are attractive their price is not. Changing natural brown or cape color diamonds to fancy colors using the Sundance Process produces beautiful diamonds that are both profitable and affordable.

The high cost of natural fancy color diamonds makes it difficult for most retail jewelers to carry them. However, now retail jewelers have the opportunity to take advantage of the Sundance value proposition with the ability to have quick delivery diamonds that satisfy the broad range of your customers' needs and tastes.

Fancy colors can be created from two classes of Type I diamonds; browns and capes. Brown diamonds yield fancy, intense and vivid yellow colors. Sundance customers may also select from colors popular in the Orient such as apple green. Before processing, experts from Sundance Diamonds will analyze each diamond to determine its potential. Customers are then given what potential their diamonds have and are able to select within a desired color range depending on their customer base. Sundance Perfected Diamonds have a completely saturated color and exhibit a full, permanent, and brilliant color.

A comparison of the values of natural fancy color diamonds to HPHT processed fancy color diamonds illustrates the opportunity to market these stones at more attractive prices to a larger market while retaining good profit margin.
